The 24^th birthday bash of one of the world’s the youngest billionaire, left million others in awe. Congratulating this fashion icon and beauty mogul, mama Kris Jenner led the birthday tributes for her as she wrote: ‘Happy Birthday to my littlest angel @kyliejenner!!!!

She continued: ‘Thank you for being an inspiration to so many …especially me. I love you so much and I am blessed to be your mommy.’

She added: ‘I can’t believe how fast time goes by!!! If I close my eyes it still feels like yesterday you were riding ponies down the street and bringing home stray cats…. And playing with my makeup!!!!!! You have brought all of us so much joy!!!’

The fashionista received love, prayers, well wishes and real roses dipped in gold on her auspicious day. The makeup mogul’s birthday celebrations began in style after she was sent a bouquet of flowers which included 12 ‘real roses’ dipped in 24-carat gold.

Rapper Travis Scott, and the daddy of baby girl, Stormi, posted a picture of himself and the birthday girl from Stormi’s birthday party in February and wrote: ‘Wake up it’s yoooo bdaayyyyyy.’

Kendall also posted pictures on Instagram Story as she wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my baby sister @kyliejenner. My soul mate we were put here together for a reason.

The beauty mogul first announced the collection on August 2 in an Instagram post. In the picture, gold glitters covering her upper body, Kylie crosses her arms around her breasts. The empowered pose, the defining feature, and the iconic full lips and cat eyes, the gorgeous is radiant in gold.

Director Karan Johar who is currently hosting the Indian Idol 12, opened up his box of secrets and anecdotes and to everyone’s surprise, the moviemaker slipped a rather flabbergasting secret. The multi-starrer, 2001 ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ which turned 19 this year and starred great B-town actors like  Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, and Kareena Kapoor were all sign cast in 24 hours! Rani Mukerji too had played a pivotal role in the film.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ emerged to be an iconic film and was a massive commercial success not only in the country but overseas as well during its time. The film was released on December 14, 2001. Retweeting a video shared by his production house, Karan wrote on Twitter, “We are eternally grateful for the abundant love that continues to come our way! Thank you so much #19YearsOfK3G.”

KJo revealed that he began with Amitabh Bachchan. He went to his residence and narrated the script. The megastar agreed to do the film. He then stepped out of the Bachchans’ place and called Jaya Bachchan if she could meet him. KJo said, “I first went to Amit ji’s house, respect wise, Jaya aunty was also there as well. She didn’t know why I was visiting Amit uncle. I narrated the script, he said, ‘Of course, I’m doing this.’”

“I then walked out of the house outside the gate I called Jaya aunty, informing her that I wanted to meet her. She said, ‘Arre but you were just here.’ I said, ‘I came to meet Amit Ji. But now, I want to officially meet you.’ I went back in and offered the film.”

 Following this, Johar went over to his close pal and superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat. SRK agreed to come on board without even having KJo to narrate the script. He said, “As soon as I said (about the film), he said, ‘You don’t even have to narrate it to me, I’m doing the film.’ We have that brother-like bond.”

However, Johar was skeptical if Kajol would give a nod, as she was newly-wed. But he still went ahead and met her, only to have tears rolling down her cheeks. Kajol gave a nod to play Anjali on screen. “Two minutes after I narrated the script and her character, she broke down. She said, ‘I cannot make anybody else do this film and I will delay my decisions of life but I will do this film,” with the two hugging and crying.

Hrithik Roshan was signed for this mega-blockbuster even before his debut movie, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai had released. And lastly, he signed his closest pal and the most popular character of the movie, Poo, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Johar reached Bebo’s residence at 10 pm on the same day and offered her K3G.

However, a cute fun fact is Shah Rukh’s elder son Aryan Khan who is yet to make his film debut had made a guest appearance in this movie as a child. He was seen in the opening credits as the young Shah Rukh, who played the role of Rahul Raichand.

The mystery of the season’s most awaited album is lifted now in a post on her social media account on August 6, a day after her usual pre-album clue-dropping shenanigans, Taylor Swift blessed the residents of her ‘SwiftLand’ and officially confirmed the tracklist, including all of the never-heard-before vault songs and new collaborations for her album Red (Taylor’s Version), which will release on November 19. The pop star shared a photograph of her in her classic red lips and high-waisted shorts from her 2013 tour in support of the original Red album. 

The official announcement came after Taylor set her fans down a path of serious detective work by releasing a tricky word scramble for them to solve. The lines of jumbled letters turned out to be the word search when stacked on top of one another, and the most studious of the Swifties were able to decode the titles of the unreleased tracks as well as the names of a few huge collaborators: Ed Sheeran, Phoebe Bridgers, and Chris Stapleton.

Hardly there exists a part of this vast population who hasn’t come across or is absolutely clueless about ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’. The desi-version of Romeo-Juliet and one of the most tragic love story which ever existed and is still embedded in the minds and hearts of millions is none other than the 1960’s Indian epic historical drama film directed by K. Asif and produced by Shapoorji Pallonji, ‘Mughal-E-Azam’, where the late legendary actor, Dilip Kumar played prince Salim and the forever gorgeous Madhubala played the fabled character of Anarkali. Based on a long-lived legend, the story however, propounds the existence of Anarkali as one of the books from the chronicles of Akbar states that in 1615 a marble tomb was built on Anarkali’s grave in Lahore by Salim, when he had become Emperor Jehangir.

Upon its release, fans stood in queues to watch it and almost the entire industry lined up for the premiere. Celebrities like Raj Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, and many others too rushed over to popular Mumbai theatre Maratha Mandir to watch this iconic costliest Hindi movie ever made. Actor Raj Kapoor, and his wife Krishna arrived from Berlin for the premiere. Shammi Kapoor, Geeta Bali, Waheeda, Suraiyya, Rajendra Kumar, Guru Dutt, Dev Anand with his wife Kalpana,  Lata Mangeshkar and Mala Sinha and a few others too were present at the movie premiere. At the time of its release in 1960, the film had an all-India release in 150 theatres simultaneously.

Later in 2004, a digitally-colourised version of the epic was re-released in theatres bringing out the beautiful colours of the places it was shot in, especially the classic song of a rebel in love, ‘Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’, and the shots of Sheesh Mahal. As it completed 60 years of the release last year, the screenplay of Mughal-E-Azam was included in the library at Oscars

The movie will always be remembered for its extraordinary staging and best paired cast on the silver screen, as of today, this cult classic gem turned 61 and here are a few lesser known facts about the movie. The timeless eternal romance between the star-cast gave butterflies to the mass, yet there always lies a huge difference between the reel life and the real life. The star cast was cherished and well received by everyone as the cast was rumored to have a sparkling ongoing chemistry between them.

Dilip Kumar in his autobiography wrote, Dilip Kumar: The Substance and the Shadow. “The announcement of our pairing in Mughal-e-Azam made sensational news in the early 1950s because of the rumours about our emotional involvement. In fact, K Asif was ecstatic with the wide publicity and trade enquiries he got from the announcement,” he wrote.

Since Mughal-e-Azam took years to shoot because of its expansive sets and production design, things were drastically different between the lead pair by the time they shot the famed feather scene. Dilip Kumar and Madhubala “had completely stopped even greeting each other” when they shot for the scene that is now remembered as one of the most romantic scenes in Hindi cinema’s history. For shooting this successfully, he gave credit to their professional attitude who respected the director’s vision. “It should, in all fairness, go down in the annals of film history as a tribute to the artistry of two professionally committed actors who kept aside personal differences and fulfilled the director’s vision of a sensitive, arresting and sensuous screen moment to perfection,” he wrote. 

The couple was tore apart because of Madhubala’s father Ataullah Khan who wasn’t opposed to their match but instead, wanted to turn this marriage into a business venture which did not land well with Dilip Kumar. Madhubala’s father had his own production company and wanted to bring in the two stars under his roof but Dilip was not in favour of this idea.

Well, other than this, ironically, the original choice for playing Anarkali wasn’t Madhubala. Director K Asif actually began shooting another version of Mughal-e-Azam with Nargis in the lead. But that was scrapped and a new version of the eternal tale was started in 1950. The film took nearly ten years to complete, and at several points of the shooting K Asif thought of abandoning the film.

Moreover, Dilip Kumar was most reluctant to play Salim. “The heavy costume, the ornaments, the wig and the shooting in the intense heat of Rajasthan was all very daunting to me,” said Dilip Kumar once. Though, due to the differences between him and the director Dilip Kumar did not attend the movie’s lavish premiere at Maratha Mandir.

The ‘Havana’ singer and the former Fifth Harmony girl pop-group member Camila Cabello is going to make her big screen debut in a Kay Cannon directorial in the upcoming colourblind adaptation of the age-old Disney Classsic fairy-tale ‘Cinderella’. Although, Camila appeared on several TV shows before, this will be her first major role on the screen.

In 2019, Sony announced a musical-comedy redefining the charcter of ‘Cinderella’, and the cast will be filled with recognizable stars.

The production of the movie was temporarily suspended in March 2020 amid coronavirus concerns, but some of the cast and crew returned to the set in August of last year to resume filming, according to Deadline. 

In January, the official Instagram page of the movie announced that the movie would hit theaters in July. But the movie released the first movie teaser trailer and announced that it would be coming to Amazon Prime Video on September 3 instead.

Camilla’s version of Cinderella does sing, go to a grand ball and hopes to become the charming prince’s bride. But she also aspires to run her own business, Dresses by Ella. While the trailer promises magical stuff, thankfully, it doesn’t answer the pertinent question of career vs love, or whether Cinderella is able to manage both in the end. For that, the audience will have to wait for the movie’s release.

 The trailer begins with an introduction to Ella, a young woman with meanies all around her. She is ridiculed by her stepmother, who threatens to throw her on the streets and also by her townspeople, who laugh at her desire to be a seamstress, selling her own dresses one day.

Amazon’s Cinderella is hoping for a better life but not one that is handed to her by a prince but one that she creates for herself. An opportunity springs up with the king, announces a ball so his prince could choose a worthy wife for himself. All Ella can see is a way to show everyone her dresses.

As expected, the jealous stepmother pours ‘ink’ over her dreams. But then appears the Fairy Godmother in his fabulous golden gown, glittering from head to toe. Armed with a new dress and glass slippers, she makes a stunning and clumsy entry at the ball. But when the prince proposes marriage, Ella lets him know that a life of a gilded cage is not for her either. More chaos ensues, the clock strikes midnight and the stepmother changes her tone midway. The new adaptation is just as high on theatrics, drama and magic, if not so much on tradition.

Apart from Camilla Cabello, the movie also stars Billy Porter as the genderless fairy godparent, Idina Menzel as the wicked stepmother, Pierce Brosnan as the king, Minnie Driver as the queen, Missy Elliott as the town crier, John Mulaney, James Corden and Romesh Ranganathan as the three mice-turned-footmen.

In addition to having a successful career on stage and television, Porter is known for being a fashion icon, pushing gender boundaries and paving the way for more recognisition in Hollywood. Hence, the ‘Pose’ actor Billy Porter will be seen playing the movie’s version of the ‘Fairy Godmother’. In an interview in 2020 Porter said CBS News that he will be portraying the Fairy Godmother as genderless and that the entire production will be a “Cinderella” for a new generation.

“Magic has no gender,” he said. “I think the new generation is really ready. The kids are ready. It’s the grownups that are slowing stuff down.”

Whereas, Idina Menzel will be seen playing the ‘evil stepmother’ to Cabello’s Cinderella.

Menzel rose to fame by playing Maureen in “Rent” which led to her successful career on Broadway. She went on to originate roles such as Elphaba in “Wicked.”

With the help of the movie version of “Rent’ (2005), she transitioned into film and television including her current success as the voice of Queen Elsa in Disney’s ‘Frozen’ franchise.

We can’t imagine Cinderella’s evil stepfamily without her step-sisters, can we?  Maddie Baillio and Charlotte Spencer will be seen playing daughter to Idina Menzel and will appear in the movie as ‘Anastasia’ and ‘Drizella’

Meanwhile, Londoner Nicholas Galitzine will star as Cinderella’s love interest, ‘Prince Robert’, who will be an updated version of Prince Charming. 

Galitzine is known for his role on the ‘Chambers’, a Netflix Series on which he plays a struggling man who is mourning the loss of his brother.

“Cinderella” will be one of Galitzine’s first major film roles. He previously appeared opposite Luke Perry in “The Beat Beneath My Feet’ (2014) and starred in the romantic comedy “High Strung” (2016).

Pierce Brosnan will be seen playing ‘Prince Robert’s father’, i.e., the ‘King’.

Oscar and Golden Globe nominated actress Minnie Driver will portray ‘Queen Beatrice’ in the film. 

Taking on the roles of the mice-turned-footmen will be three comedians — Romesh Ranganathan, James Corden, and James Acaster.

 While celebrating the release of an official trailer for the modern-day version of the Cinderella fairytale, a Twitter user ecstatically posted, “A Cinderella movie that doesn’t revolve around a glass shoe.. hell yeah!!” Another user put Camila Cabello’s song ‘Don’t Go Yet’ reference and wrote, “When watching the #CinderellaMovie I’ll be wearing a dress for a lil’ drama.”

“Modern day cinderella that chooses work over love… WE LOVE TO SEE IT #CinderellaMovie,” wrote another Twitter user. Meanwhile, another fan took some time out to appreciate Prince Charming Nick Galitzine. “Ahhhhhhh you made me so happy. I was waiting for this. What do you do to look so gorgeous? I’m so excited to see cinderella next month. Ahhhhhhh [heart emoji],” they wrote.

 The movie’s trailer seems to have a huge positive impact on the fans as they are extremely eager to see what this upcoming movie is like and they are absolutely excited about this new version of the age-old tale and the message of empowerment that it sends across.

Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, issued a statement on Monday saying that she and her family do not deserve a media trial. The actress said she will not comment on the case as it is subjudice and also requested the media for some privacy saying the past few days have been challenging for her “on every front”.

Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 over allegations that he was producing and streaming adult videos on mobile apps. The police say they have evidence that he was the “key conspirator” in the case.

Marvel Studios has been tight-lipped about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The studio has confirmed that director Peyton Reed has returned to helm the third film in the franchise, and it will star Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Kathryn Newton. It was announced that Jonathan Majors would be appearing in the film as well, possibly connecting it with the Loki series.

This Dan Levy and Paul Rudd photo has also led fans to believe that the duo would make for an absolutely amazing combination for a buddy film and it seems fans will soon be urging Hollywood makers to cast this duo for a comedy-drama. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) slapped a monetary penalty on Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Ripu Sudan Kundra, who is also known as Raj Kundra, and Viaan Industries Ltd for disclosure lapses and consequent violation of insider trading rules. A total fine of ₹3 lakh has been imposed on them to be paid jointly and severally, as per a SEBI order. Shilpa and Ripu are the promoters of Viaan Industries.

In its adjudication order, the market regulator said it had conducted an investigation into the trading or dealings in the scrip of Viaan Industries Ltd, formerly known as Hindustan Safety Glass Industries Limited, during the period September 1, 2013, to December 23, 2015, and was found that Ripu Sudan Kundra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Viaan Industries Ltd had allegedly violated the provisions of Regulations 7(2)(a) and 7(2)(b) of SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015.

The Sebi order said on October 29, 2015, VIL made a preferential allotment of 5,00,000 equity shares to four persons and 1,28,800 shares each was allotted to Raj and Shilpa Shetty.

After the preferential share allotment, both of them were required to make the necessary disclosure to the company as per the SEBI rules as the transaction exceeded Rs 10 lakh in value.

The company was also required to make the necessary disclosures to the stock exchange in two trading days of the receipt of the disclosures Shilpa and Raj Kundra. Sebi observed that they allegedly failed to make the relevant disclosures within the stipulated time.

“It is on record that the relevant disclosures under the PIT Regulations were made by the Noticees with a delay of more than three years,” Sebi noted. “Therefore, considering these facts and circumstances, I hold that this case deserves imposition of monetary penalty upon the Noticees,” said adjudicating officer Suresh B Menon in an order. His order said: “It is pertinent to mention that the disclosure requirements mandated under the respective regulations serve very important purposes. The stock exchange is informed so that the investing public will come to know of the position enabling them to stick on with or exit from the company. Timely disclosures of the details of the shareholding of the persons acquiring substantial stake is of significant importance.” Here ‘Noticees’ refer to Viaan Industries, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Ripu Sudan Kundra.

Earlier, a city court rejected the bail plea of Raj Kundra, arrested in a case of alleged creation of adult movies and publishing them through apps, after the prosecution contended the police probe was still on and his release at this juncture will derail the investigation. On the other hand, Kundra’s lawyer made a forceful plea for bail in the court, saying his client was not a “terrorist” and pointed out that a charge-sheet has already been filed in the case which was registered in February.

The 45-year-old businessman was arrested on 19 July by Mumbai police’s crime branch after being charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

A day after Simone Biles’s shock exit from the team event, USA Gymnastics said the 24-year-old had also withdrawn from the individual all-around competition at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre. The American arrived in Japan as one of the headline acts of the pandemic-postponed 2020 Games, shouldering an immense weight of expectation as she pursued a record-equalling nine career Olympic titles. But she withdrew from the team competition after a shaky opening vault, and her struggles mean she may be unable to add to the four gold medals she won at the 2016 Rio Games.

“After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in order to focus on her mental health,” USA Gymnastics said in a statement.

 “We also have to focus on ourselves, because at the end of the day, we’re human, too,” said Biles, “So, we have to protect our mind and our body, rather than just go out there and do what the world wants us to do.”

Taking to the same, many celebrities lauded the decision. One of them was Priyanka Chopra Jonas who penned down words of encouragement for the young gymnast. Sharing a video of an interview she did with Biles a few years ago for her YouTube series, Priyanka wrote, “Role model, Champion… @simonebiles I had the joy of getting to know @simonebiles a few years ago, and she blew me away then with her vulnerability and self awareness.”

The actress called the gymnast the GOAT – Greatest of All Time and thanked her for normalising that it is okay to be human.

The Canadian singer Justin Bieber shared an Instagram post lauding the decision and also cited his own example where he did not complete the purpose tour and called it the ‘best thing I could have done for my mental health”. Justin in a heartfelt post wrote, “nobody will ever understand the pressures you face! I know we don’t know each other but I’m so proud of the decision to withdraw. It’s as simple as – what does it mean to gain the whole world but forfeit your soul. Sometimes our no’s are more powerful than our yes’s.”

Justin further wrote, “When what you normally love starts to steal your joy it’s important we take a step back to evaluate why. People thought I was crazy for not finishing the purpose tour but it was the best thing I could have done for my mental health!! So proud of you.”

Michelle Obama also tweeted in support of Simone and wrote, “Am I good enough? Yes, I am. The mantra I practice daily. @Simone_Biles, we are proud of you and we are rooting for you. Congratulations on the silver medal, Team @USA!

The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, and branded as Tokyo 2020 is an ongoing international multi-sport event that is currently being held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan, with some preliminary events, which began from 21 July. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the event was postponed in March 2020 as a result of the worldwide spread pandemic, and is held largely behind closed doors with no public spectators permitted due to the declaration of the state of emergency. Despite being rescheduled for 2021, the event retains the Tokyo 2020 name for marketing and branding purposes. This is the first time that the Olympic Games have been postponed and rescheduled, rather than cancelled. The Summer Paralympics will be held between 24 August and 5 September 2021, 16 days after the completion of the Olympics.
