Netizens are sharing a video with a claim where Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is bashing the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for “no vaccination, only ads”. As per claims, he alleged the AAP minister for not utilizing the funds properly and instead of using the fund for vaccinating people, he used it for advertising and hence the national capital is poorly vaccinated less than the capacity.

Actually, there are two videos which have been juxtaposed in the thirty-second long video; in one, Manish Sisodia is speaking, while in another window, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government advertisements on different newspapers are being played.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday June 21, claimed that the Union government was putting pressure on officials on the Aam Aadmi Party government to publish advertisements lauding the Centre’s Covid-19 vaccination programme.

Sisodia said that Delhi has received only 57 lakh vaccine doses against its requirement of 2.94 crore. He also said that the Centre’s allocation of 15 lakh vaccines for the month of July was not sufficient for the city. “How will 15 lakh vaccines for July work?” Sisodia asked. “Going by this rate, it will take 15 to 16 more months to vaccinate entire Delhi. You [Centre] have been saying India has been conducting the largest vaccination drive globally, but it has turned out to be the most mismanaged, derailed and messed up exercise in the world.”

Sisodia said most Bharatiya Janata Party-led states were publishing advertisements hailing the country’s vaccination drive. He accused the Centre of wasting money on the advertisements instead of procuring vaccines for the citizens.

“There are more advertisements than the Covid-19 vaccine shots in the country,” the Delhi deputy chief minister said. “They also asked officials in Delhi to publish advertisements in newspapers thanking [Prime Minister Narendra] Modiji for the free vaccination. They sent this ‘toolkit’ to Delhi government officials and pressured them to issue such advertisements.”

Sisodia urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP to focus on the vaccination drive. “I request the prime minister to supply 2.3 crore more doses in the next two months,” the senior AAP leader said. “I promise that we will do your publicity…publish advertisements in all of Delhi, but you have been asking states to do so without giving them vaccines.”

A full video of the same was also uploaded on AAP’s Youtube channel. From 5.33 minutes, one can see the part that is being shared in the viral video. Thus, the viral part is actually cropped from the original video but, as like the claims suggest Sisodia isn’t bashing the AAP minister but Center for mismanagement of the funds.

Meanwhile, AAP MLA Atishi said the Delhi government wrote to the Centre requesting them to provide 45 lakh doses of vaccine for July.

“About 1.5 lakh vaccine doses are being administered in Delhi. Therefore, at least 45 lakh doses should be given to Delhi in July so that we can vaccinate the people of the city as soon as possible and save them from the third wave,” she said while issuing the vaccine bulletin.

The nation’s capital set a new record by administering over 2.05 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday. Following this the Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia tweeted Saturday’s vaccination figures and claimed that it has “surpassed all records”. He tweeted: “Vaccination in Delhi is happening at a record pace! For the last three days, we have vaccinated more than 1.5 lakh beneficiaries. Today, surpassing all previous records Delhi has vaccinated 2,05,170 people! This is how we are going to protect Delhi from the 3rd wave!”
