On June 28, the luxury brand ‘Salvatore Ferragamo’ announced on Twitter that the K-pop star would be joining the company as its new Global Brand Ambassador. Earlier in February, the brand had originally named the singer as an ambassador. As per the brand the Red Velvet dancer and vocalist is selected for her unique sense of style, passion for her craft and creativity. Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A. is an Italian luxury goods company, with headquarters in Florence, Italy. It specializes in shoes, leather goods, Swiss-made timepieces, and ready-to-wear for men and women. The company licences eyewear and watches.

“We are pleased to welcome K-Pop star #SEULGI into the family as a new Global Brand Ambassador,” it wrote. “Seulgi with her unique sense of style, passion for her craft and creativity reflects the values long espoused by Salvatore Ferragamo.” The clip, filmed in collaboration with W Korea, features the K-pop idol dancing as she models the brand’s new Let’s Dance shoe capsule collection.

The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer said in a statement, “I was impressed with the collection, which showcased Ferragamo’s elegant and modern sensibility, in collaboration with global film directors.”

“I’m happy to be selected as Ferragamo’s new global ambassador. Please look forward to my future activities with Ferragamo,” Seulgi wrote on her instagram, alongside a campaign video for Ferragamo. In the same Instagram post, Seulgi said that she was happy to be selected as among Ferragamo’s Let’s Dance ambassadors, and looks forward to even more promotions with the luxury brand in the future. The Let’s Dance collection is a new line of stylish shoes designed to be light and functional.

The Let’s Dance collection also blends art (dance) and fashion, presented through the flawless rhythm of flair and style through each gesture of the body and each refined creation.
