Today the whole world has come together to celebrate the 7th International Yoga Day. From Bollywood to Hollywood, mostly celebs took yoga as a means to elevate their spirits and feel the goodness with every move.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S actor Jennifer Aniston is one of the fittest Hollywood stars who attributes her fitness to yoga. Aniston was quoted saying:
“Yoga kind of helps you prepare for everything, honestly. It’s like meditation. It sort of just allows anything that’s coming at you at the end of the day to be kind of doable.”
Tom Hanks says he endorses yoga like no one else does. According to a site named Yogi Approved, Hanks credits his great physique to his ‘glorified sit-ups’. Hanks claimed that he doesn’t have aches and pains, because he started stretching. He believes it’s the greatest thing you can ever do.

American actress Jessica Biel, model, producer and singer, who is famous for her movies Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve. Well, while talking of fitness how can one possibly miss the B-town’s most gorgeous diva, Shilpa Shetty. This ‘Dhadkan’ actress, took to ger social media to shared her thoughts. The actress revealed, “I seem cheerful all the time but this doesn’t mean that I do not feel low. This is because I release my tensions by doing yoga especially during the age of COVID when a lot of negative thoughts surround you.” She further says that a lot of studies have proven that yoga is beneficial for keeping coronavirus away.
Her family got infected with the virus. Sharing her thoughts on how she faced this challenge, Shilpa said, “A lot of people have contracted the virus and I have seen it personally. We did not step out of our house during the lockdown and in spite of this fact, we got infected. It happened because one of our staff members got infected and turned asymptomatic. Later my mother-in-law and other members tested positive. It was difficult for all of us.”
Taking to Twitter, Shilpa shared few posts about breathing exercises– the Bhramari Pranayama. Her first tweet read, “BREATHE… it’s THE most important function that the body performs. Breathing right helps provide oxygen to the organs to perform all the crucial processes, from cognition to digestion to strengthening the immune system.” Next, she wrote, “So, on World Yoga Day, let’s start by practicing the Bhramari Pranayama. It helps generate up to 15% more nitric oxide through the vibrations of the humming sound, ‘Aum’. This, in turn, helps early recovery and healing from Covid-19.”
Atrangi Re star Sara Ali Khan wrote in her Instagram caption, “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. Happy International Yoga Day.” Rakul Preet, who was recently seen in Sardar Ka Grandson revealed her morning routine. She wrote on Instagram, “Started off Yoga day today by doing Kunjar kriya, as advised by my holistic nutritionist @munmun.ganeriwal .. Feeling super clean, light, happy and energetic.”
